Frequently asked questions
What is valid JSON?
JSON supports objects, arrays, strings, numbers, true, false and null. It does not allow comments, single-quoted strings or trailing commas.
Does this validate an API schema?
No. It checks JSON syntax, not whether the data follows a particular API or JSON Schema.
Can I use very large numbers?
This tool uses JavaScript JSON parsing. Integers beyond 9007199254740991 can lose precision; encode identifiers and exact large integers as strings.
